As a kid I used to play "king of the mountain." We had a pretty large dirt pile (about 10 or 12 feet high) in the back of the house that we were using for landscaping and leveling the front yard. When I was in the 4th grade, one of us would be the king of the mountain and the rest were hopeful attackers. While I was king, my brothers and friends would be challenging me from below trying to take my spot. Being King of the Mountain, was nothing compared to being captain of the baseball team or class president. It was small potatoes. Last week there was another attack on Israel. First, I am amazed that such a small country is such a big deal. Let's say someone conquered Israel, what would they get? In land mass it is dwarfed by just about every nation in the Middle East in terms of square miles. Natural resources? The Promised Land it is mostly desert.
